A 3.5-month-old proboscis monkey baby eats with its mother in the Batu Secret Zoo enclosure, Batu city, East Java, Indonesia, on April 14, 2026. The birth of these proboscis monkeys brings the total number of proboscis monkeys at Batu Secret Zoo to 10. The proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus) is an endemic primate native to and found throughout the island of Kalimantan (Borneo) in Indonesia, as well as in Malaysia and Brunei.
