Story from Jam Press (Crocodile Grabs Net) Pictured: A video grab of a crocodile grabbing hold of David Leigh’s net. VIDEO: Fisherman gets shock when CROCODILE grabbed hold of net A fisherman got a shock when a crocodile grabbed hold of his net. David Leigh was trying to land his catch when the croc bit into it. It then thrashed around trying to get the fish inside. It happened on the Bolhe River near Townsville, northwest of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. David, the owner of Fairdinkum Fishing Charters, said: “I felt something really big in there, pretty much instantly. “As I was pulling it up, I started to get glimpses of it. “I then realised it was a crocodile.” Leigh told What's the Jam that they first released the net into the water to allow the animal to escape. But it ended up snagging its front teeth on the net. After cutting the croc free, it swam away and disappeared from view. Leigh said it gave him a “little fright”. “I've been fishing all my life and I've never experienced it before,” he added.
