Programme participants load seedlings into a wheel barrow in a tree nursery in the flooding-prone regions around Lake Chilwa in the Machinga district of Malawi. Trocaire are encouraging communities to plant trees and not cut them down for fuel in an effort to prevent to tackle deforestation and stop topsoil being washed away when water runs down the steep mountainside and through the village.
