Fadel Dergham, a 13-year-old displaced Syrian boy, poses for a picture at an auto body shop that employs him in Sarmada in the rebel-held northwestern Idlib province on March 14, 2024. Fadel fled the city of Aleppo in 2016 and settled with his family in Sarmada.
He dropped out of school at the end of the first grade and in 2020 was employed at an auto body shop as a painter.
