Cute fox siblings
EXCITING IMAGES depicting a sibling squabble between two foxes were captured in Maharashtra, India.
Only a few months old, these Bengal foxes kept play-fighting for at least half an hour.
This behaviour is more common among young foxes (kits) and is a form of social bonding and learning.
This fighting typically involves pouncing, chasing and play biting, but it's rarely aggressive or harmful.
These cute images were captured by a young Indian wildlife photographer, Ratnakar Hiremath (21), with a Canon 77D camera and a 55-250 mm lens.
“Photographing these fox siblings indulged in play fighting allowed me to showcase the playful side of these shy creatures,” he said.
“It took a lot of effort to capture these moments. I visited their den multiple times for four months before I finally spotted them.
“Foxes are shy animals, but when I spent months around them, they became comfortable with me, and my presence didn't bother them at all.
“They got comfortable enough to show themselves and even wander close to me at times. It was an unforgettable experience.”
