IT'S DONALD TRUNK... This playful elephant calf appears to have a funky hairdo as it splashes around in a river. The energetic calf was using adult elephant tails as toupees at Elephant Bay in the Chobe National Park, Botswana, looking a little like former US president Donald Trump. Wildlife photographer Janine Krayer said, “Elephant Bay is popular for these elephants to come and drink as they have easy access to the water. The place it has been taken at is called elephant bay. A location that allows elephants to easily access the river, which makes it popular for them to come and drink. Baby elephants are not quite in control of their trunk yet during the first 6 month of their lifespan but they attempt to imitate the adults (females) of the breeding herd … often by splashing in the water or trying to drink directly with the mouth. I personally have a big love for elephants and baby elephants are my kryptonite. Fortunately, we get plenty on the Chobe River as it is a save haven for elephants, and elephant moms. They are by far my favourite animals but I also think quite difficult to photograph as they are big and grey. The little ones can be easier framed between the females and often provide endless entertainment.
