Unique house covered in glass bottles hits market – but social media users HATE it for one reason
A rather quirky house has gone viral online and is making people’s skin crawl thanks to some unusual features.
The property, which boasts three bedrooms and three bathrooms, is situated near Tucson, Arizona, and covers a large 2,700 square foot plot – meaning that, at $432,500, it’s a bit of a steal.
However, if you’re someone who suffers from trypophobia, you might want to think about living somewhere else, because this house is a huge trigger.
Trypophobia is an aversion or fear of patterns of holes that occur in both natural and man-made structures, as well as in food – like pomegranates, flowers, and objects.
This house is seriously setting some people off because the walls are completely filled with empty bottles, which the listing claims provide some insulation.
If you can get past the glass bottle walls, there’s a lot to like about the house.
It’s got a lot of space, a concrete pool table, and a number of rock fireplaces, as well as a guest house.
There are places to sit and watch the world go by, as well as many other statement features that won’t strike fear into the hearts of your trypophobic friends.
The signatures and handprints of the people who created the artwork that adorns nearly every square inch of the property are still there, dating back as far as the 1960s.
The listing says: “A timeless structure, insulated by thousands of glass bottles of various array creating a colourful glow, nestled between stones and full-sized wooden beams at the ceiling. You must see it to believe it!”
The property has gone viral on social media with 530,000 views – but for all the wrong reasons, with countless viewers seemingly unable to get past the walls.
“Hope you don’t have trypophobia,” one comment read.
“Ppl with trypophobia are shaking rn,”
