Over time, this non-profit association managed to rebuild this historical piece and, in addition, recover the section of La Poveda (Arganda) and La Laguna del Campillo (Rivas) of the old Tajuña railway line (which stopped working in 1997). . Thus, in 2003, that train was revived and came to have its own corner in the popular proverb: "The Arganda train, which whistles more than it walks". The trip, of about 4 kilometers, lasts between 40 and 45 minutes. As it is a historical train, the duration can fluctuate slightly depending on the weather conditions and, in extreme situations, the steam locomotive can be replaced by its diesel companion. It leaves from La Poveda station, in Arganda del Rey, where it has its headquarters and museum, and glides through clouds of steam to the Laguna del Campillo halt, on the shores of the large pool of water that gives it its name, in the neighboring town of Rivas-Vaciamadrid. There, passengers can get off to watch the 10-minute maneuver with which the direction of travel is changed to return to Arganda. Finally, the train returns to La Poveda, where you can visit the small railway museum, which brings together souvenirs and antiques from the railway world and reproduces the atmosphere of a historic station.
