Police officers investigate the site of an explosion at a fishing port in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture on April 16, 2023, one day after the incident. Wakayama prefectural police restrained a man who is believed to have thrown explosives at the site where Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was scheduled to give a speech for by-election of Lower House.
