PIC FROM Kennedy News and Media (PICTURED: MELISSA FISHER (28) FROM PORTSMOUTH, HAMPSHIRE, DURING HER FIRST CHEMOTHERAPY APPOINTMENT IN DECEMBER 2020) A mum was devastated when a golf ball-sized lump she discovered while in the shower turned out to be breast cancer after being reassured by a doc that she was 'TOO YOUNG' for the disease. Melissa Fisher was washing herself when she felt a hard round lump on her right breast back in September 2020, so jumped out in a panic and booked an appointment with her GP that day. As a precaution, the mum-of-one was sent for further tests where she says she was told by a doctor it was 'definitely not cancer' and she had 'nothing to worry about' given she was aged just 27.
